Most of my teaching activities are in the form of mentoring, an activity I care deeply about. I was incredibly honored this past year to receive a
Regents' Oustanding Teaching Award from The University of Texas system. My parents were both high school teachers in the Beaverton School District in Oregon. I had the great fortune of observing the satisfaction they both received from their careers and I view this award as recognizing their investment, as well.
